Can I get a solid wahoo on that people??
double thumbs up to job quitting!
well, one for quitting and another for punjab,

And in the big news department, now that I have finally given notice to my employers, I can finally publicly divulge the other major happnenings in the lives of the Kantaharas (you have no idea how badly I've wanted to blog about this):

We're moving from San Francisco to....
uh......New (freaking) Hampshire.
across the river from Vermont....
in New freaking Hampshire.
Many of you have been helping us along this journey with advice, consolation, endless hours of phone calls from both of us in slight panic about what to do with this next stage in our lives. Thank you. We've made it through:
- half a year on one income,
- hours of self-studying for the GMAT,
- the crazy process of applying for schools so many years after undergrad,
- essay writing and essay proof-reading,
- loads of interviewing, prospective student events, and networking,
- zipping around the country to tour schools and towns,
- finger crossing and sitting on pins and needles for decisions.
- All while planning our wedding, a honeymoon, and balancing my job.
I can't yet wrap my head around moving from Northern California, my home for the last 13 years. The gorgeous and vibrant city of San Francisco has been home to us for five; Hudson knows no other world (gus and annabelle). Jack knows my voice and lights up when I come to get him from a nap. My girls live here: Jen, Annie, Joc, Holly, Kourt, Peen, Tara (click for a fun comment from Lo), Becca, Ali. But that's got to be another post for another day.
We're super excited to be a part of the Dartmouth world and specifically, the Tuck business school community. A couple of weeks before the wedding, we made our way over to Hanover for Admitted Students' Weekend and had such a positive experience getting to know some of our future friends and colleagues. We figured out where we would live, how we would get around, and which coffee shop we'd frequent (closest starbucks will be 1.5 hours away - ack!). While my future day-to-day operations are still up in the air, I feel ecstatic about the possibilities for our next two years.
And I'm stoked to finally be able to share this with you.

Congratulations, Kantaharas! I hear NH is beautiful, and I am sure it will be a big adjustment, but hopefully a great experience for both of you to live somewhere new. We may be up that way this winter to visit family friends in Stowe, Vermont (less than 2 hours away from you, and almost closer than that Starbucks!!) so we will be sure to let you know and try to meet up if possible! Good luck with everything, so happy for you and Jamie to take this exciting step in your newlywed life together!! XO Jenny

congrats to you both.
it will be different, but sounds awesome.
you can bundle up and wear cute fall/winter clothes... advice for leslie: GET SOME GOOD boots, none of those falling apart ones you had last season.
yay it is all so official now that you've posted it to the blog world! You'll love New England. I mean, remember how comfortable you were at the camp ski reunion? It'll be just like that....except, now you have sweaters of your own that you won't need to borrow. And boots, good boots. Liz knows what she's talking about. SO EXCITED to follow you and your new adventures!!
YAYAYA!!!! I am so excited for you to come to Hanover and start this exciting new journey!! Where will you be living?
I just wanted to fill you in on a dirty secret. There is ACTUALLY a Starbucks in the Dartmouth bookstore. But those of us in Hanover are especially protective of our locally owned shops so no one admits it exists. But when you need the fix, you can still get it!
