Crafting - Slouchy Hats (crochet)

Identical holiday packages should be in the hands of my chilly-weather girls: Dev & Trishy (and Tara who lives in a v.mild Sacramento, but whatevs)! I've been dying to post this for about a month and since I've already opened most of my holiday gifts (thank you, Hannukah!!), I'm so impatient about people having to wait until the 25th to do their unwrapping. Anyway, here's what I crafted for the girls:

Slouchy Hats!

It starts out so mini, but ends up all slouchy and glorious! The band around the edge holds back ala headband style, there are 3 rows of pouffies, and the biggish part holds in a bunch of hair to protect from snow/rain/sleet/etc. I only wish it were snowy around here because I could very easily throw one of these on when tromping about town. Oooh, maybe for rainy days? Devon got navy blue, Trish received a taupe-y one, and Tara's grey hat will be on its way in '08. Any additional orders can be requested through the comments section or direct email...:)

I've been wrapping everything up like cupcakes this year. Easy to do with those large or giant cupcake wrappers, some elastic, and a ribbon. P.S. Looks like all the cool kids are sporting the slouchy hat! Let's see...we've got an Olsen twin (guess which one?) & AshSimps. Although, I think there are so many more flattering colors than this horrendous red-orange though, don't you?
