Laughter and Flight

Can't believe July flew by so fast. So many fun things going on and I haven't had a mini-second to blog about them! Here's a quick synopsis of what I can recall this morning:

Jamie took me to my first comedy club show ever and we saw a HILARIOUS bit by Rob Riggle from the Daily Show. He's GIGANTIC and has the energy level of Will Ferrell - kickass! I would definitely go see him again and have an increased appreciation for his delivery of current event comedy through the ole telly.

As a tribute to fun surprises ala creative-devon, I decided to surprise Jamie for our first date anniversary and take him all the way down to the Union City In-n-Out for some adventure.

Just before the exit off the freeway, I made him close his eyes so he didn't get an unnecessary preview of the insanity to come. Good thing he did because a truck dumped several bags of cement across the freeway and I had to do some mad swerving to get out of the way! No need to frighten the bejeezus out of a passenger like that, right? I pulled up in front of the secret locale and made him open his eyes with a loud: Surprise!
"uh....greaat! in-n-out! i was just thinking i was hungry."

Then I made him look at the building on the right of the picture.
Uh...iFLY??
Have I ever mentioned that the poor guy has a slight fear of heights??
I'm so thoughtful, huh? Eh, only if thoughtful means cruel+mean+evil!!

Woohooo!!! We went faux-skydiving!
Ok, I had been holding out on this one while we waited for the proofs of our actual flights to show up on the site, but it's just taking way too long - dangit. Ya, surprised that's not Jamie up there? What'd you think, the hormones in an in-n-out burger made him grow a mustache in 30 minutes?? I think not.

It was completely awesome...tempted to use the word 'radical' here. Just thoroughly SICK and insanely mind-blowing. He had the most ridiculous grin the entire time, we drooled all over ourselves, laughed so hard while in the wind tunnel, and have been talking about it ever since. When you guys come to visit, I'll totally take you too. KICK ASS PART DEUX! I'll post the real pictures if we ever get a hold of them.

p.s. you might have already seen footage if you follow Mythbusters like we do, but if not, check out the video here.

two flights in the vertical wind tunnel, the equivalent flight time of three tandem skydives!

that is SO fun! Haha, i kept thinking about that episode of Top Model - it's probably way more fun when you're not trying to look sultry + sexy. Can't wait to see the pics! (ps. what's the scoop about In 'n Out Burger? I've never been but here wonderful things).

PS. I'm so coming to visit, so get yer skydiving party pants ready for a part deux!!
