BEFORE the big storm that's supposed to hit tomorrow!
I love the change in landscape.

Maybe the moose did it? I dunno.
It's right next to our backdoor.

I set out a hodge-podge bird feeder just in case there are any stragglers that didn't make it south.

Our plans to relax at home during the winter break have been just awesome. There's a little bit of pressure to get out, travel, see the sights, get out to the beach while we can, but I think our lack of initiative was a blessing. Reading for pleasure! Leisurely breakfasts! Long nights of movie watching on the couch (and even the theater)! Uh...thank you cards (so.embarrassing)! 

The scavenger hunt for Jamie's Christmas present was a success and left him out of breath from running around our place...amusing. We had friends over for a pizza party with homemade pizza dough and shaved asparagus (more on this later!). And I've been able to sit and think about the crafty projects I've been meaning to get my hands on...trips to the post office will be forthcoming. It's been just so terrific. :)

We have missed friends and family big time during this season and hope that everyone is snuggly, safe, and happy. Merry Christmas, y'all.
