we put into watching the 2008 Track+Field Olympic trials on TV.
They took place in Eugene this year, the week before I got there.

Polished off the first week without any training days and boy, was I wiped! It's been quite the transition to be increasing the number of hours actually speaking to people, not to mention the increase in commute to actually get to them. Lots more time on the phone, on email, in person...but having a great time of it so far! Woohoo for that, huh?
Luckily, the weekend provided some great weather and perfect opportunity for loooong, relaxing walks. Saturday, we meandered around the neighborhood with Hudson and Gus, running a mess of errands:
Luckily, the weekend provided some great weather and perfect opportunity for loooong, relaxing walks. Saturday, we meandered around the neighborhood with Hudson and Gus, running a mess of errands:
- Finally shipped off Devon's birthday package and some stuff for my sister.
- Did some damage at the Paper Source.
- Stopped for a delish sandwich lunch @ Judy's.
- And picked up some overdue prescriptions @ the old drugstore.
We polished off the walk with a jaunt to Frederickson's, our local hardware extravaganza. The dogs full on fell asleep in the aisles. I guess a 3hr+ walk was a bit much on a warm day? :)
