Needless to Say Saturday.
- On a whim, I made homemade buttermilk waffles ala Martha and they were glorious. We topped them with mashed banana (mixed it up with a bit of cinnamon sugar) and drizzled them with some yummy organic maple. I simply can't get enough of them (although I did hit a quick one waffle limit). I just want to laze about and bathe in buttermilk waffles. Next time I'll take step-by-step pics and post for your viewing pleasure. Needless to say, this is a repeat recipe, you guys.
- I realized yesterday that we have about 15 loads of laundry to do and our closets are basically empty..ugh. Totally a result of both of us being too damn lazy and it being too damn "cold" to walk downstairs to the garage 3 times per load (one for washer, one to put in dryer, and one to take out). Sure, you could think it an easy task to complete when we're always in and out of the apt anyway, but that only goes to show how little you really know us. :) Taking a step back after sorting the daunting task this morning, I felt like one of those hoarders spotlighted on Oprah. Needless to say, I had a mini-breakdown and have been doing laundry all day.
- There are so many movies out or coming out this weekend! I'm DYING to see the following:
- Juno - with the girl who can walk through walls (Xmen) and the guy from Superbad
- Alvin & the Chipmunks - grew up with it, didn't you?
- Fred Clause - am i a sucker for Christmas movies or what?
- Enchanted - done + I loved it! don't go in with high expectations and you'll be marching around your place singing, "that's how she knoooows!"
- That Dewey Cox movie
- PS I love you - Dude, I must be hormonal or something for wanting to see it and, more remarkably, for admitting to it on the internet.
- Flakes - Zooey Deschanel is one of my faves.
But Jamie mocks my wish list and is insisting upon seeing the following:
Needless to say, we may not be doing movie night together anytime soon.

maybe we should go to the movies! that sounds like a fun, kind of festive, great for a lazy preggo activity! also, will be attempting the waffles next weekend -- why do we always hit a one waffle max?
what about 27 dresses...i want to see that. and the sweeney todd one.
yum yum waffles! i tried to drag the boy to see enchanted but we settled on american gangster instead...pretty good actually. i REALLY want to see 27 dresses...so cute! and the national treasure sequel :)
Mmmm your waffles look yummy! I've never tried smashed bananas on them (ok - it just took me 3 tries to spell 'banana' right. Whoever mentioned the tip abot Gwen for spelling help is onto something....)
I want to see Enchanted too and now will, dammit, after that recommendation! And the National Treasure sequel. Oh, and that new one Vantage Point also looks sooo good. I watched American Gangster too last weekend and was v. impressed.
leslie without banana-breakfast foods is like the ocean without water!
i want to see sweeney todd! totally tramatized by it when i had to watch it for a music class in middle school. but johnny depp in it, i'll relive the trama for that!
That is my favorite waffle recipe too! By the way, putting the banana on top is much better than making her banana waffles. We tried the banana waffle recipe and I had texture issue with them...they were a little soggy from the moisture in the banana.
