Jamie and I are complete opposites when it comes to travel style. He likes to show up 2 hours early for a domestic flight while I have a natural tendency to pull a Home Alone through every airport. You know what I mean, right? Macaulay Caulkin's crazy family that had to run through the terminal only to just barely make the flight? Add in sunglasses precariously perched atop a mop of hair, a 3/4ful paper cup of coffee, carry-on bags that are just large enough to knock into other people, a nonchalant attitude to go with the package and there you have it.
Now personality-wise, I'm super calm while traveling. Laid back, never realizing how late I'm actually running and how dangerous it can be to carry a piping hot cup of coffee down the aisle of a mini plane. I'm all nice and smiley, flipping through my reading material, perusing the airport stores. Jamie, on the other hand, is all nerves. I mean, complete and total bundle of nerves down to having a routine of things he likes to do once he gets on the plane. He's all business and in no mood to discuss anything with anyone. And I love it.
I love traveling with the guy. He gets me places on time, worries about everything so I REALLY don't need to, and I think we're great equalizers for each other. It was especially apparent when we had to do some major negotiating after a canceled flight. I played good cop, he played bad, and we got where we needed to in a relatively reasonable amount of time. I only hope my lackadaisical ways are entertaining enough to calm his nerves a bit. I try hard to crack him up every opportunity I get.
Rawr.
Hudson doesn't have to try to crack us up at all. It's just in his nature to be a funny guy.

I don't know what's funnier: Hudson's face or that other dog's outfit! What in the world?!
jamie and i can't travel together...we might implode from our combined anal, stress nerves. do. not. like. flying.
it's basically amazing that patrick and i get anywhere together. airport travel is certainly not one of those areas where we balance each other out. we're kind of like 2 little leslies running around, minus the mop of hair on patrick.
Oh my god. Jamie is my male-twin traveler.
i am so not one to arrive super early... worry much or freak out. while i'm (almost) never late, i am never early. i hate boarding early just to sit longer in those small seats. i can sleep like no other on a flight (usually). i don't care for bumps in the air... but they don't terrify me either... and i can't stand people who fumble at the stupid bag scanners... seriously people?!?! can't you take off your coat, shoes, etc while waiting in line as opposed to waiting til the last second and making everything slower?! i am in love with the various level of traveler lines: kids, occasional, and frequent/expert lines. i'll take the black diamond on that one... thanks! guess i just travel way too much for my own good :)
I am a Jamie traveler too! It drives Scott CRAZY!!!
