Internal survival rate = nil, nada, none.

Oh boots. Don't fail me now.

There is no reason behind it, but apparently, I'm not naturally built to deal with cold and wet weather. My balance is off, foothold wavering, and propensity to falling WAY INCREDIBLY HIGH.  Jamie was so flabbergasted by it so assistance from him was completely unreliable. He was rendered useless with laughter as I just.kept.falling.down.

But don't worry. Not outside in the snow, ice, and slipperiness. Nope, not me. I was mostly able to keep it together while in the unfamiliar surroundings; constantly aware of "black ice" potential and making every step count. My shoes I specifically packed for winter weather were ridiculously inadequate, but I managed to make them work while walking around in the snow, salt, and ice patches.

It was the indoors that proved a little bit tricky for me. You know, because the indoors  over there are so different from the ones I deal with here. Places with real winters have different tile-work, different woods, different linoleum.  My feet were convinced of it as they slipped out from under me all over the place.

Stumbling and falling on my butt, knees, elbows, and wrists. Taken down by indoor malls, a basketball arena, bbq restaurant, and even the bbq restaurant bathroom. Makes no sense. But I have bruises all over my body to prove it.

Sigh.

fake faller! love how the hands don't break the pristine mounds of freshly fallen snow :) and no gloves.

you might not like the cold, but the cold likes you! come back!

wait, what? no heels?? really? is that the secret? hang on....all winter-long? no heels?? really?

it was 40 degrees in VA this day. after being in 2 degree weather for a few days, i felt brave enough to get out of the car without a coat. lasted about 8 minutes before retreating. 40 degrees is still kinda cold.

i'll be back soon, devs!!
