Poolside Time...Heels Required.

HAHAA! Literally took until JUST NOW to understand devon and sarah's comments on my post from a couple of days ago. I mean, I sat there with Jen, just staring and questioning. Staring and questioning.

When in Palm Springs, the dudes were barefoot + carefree while all the other chicks prancing around in their mini-kinis were sipping their martinis in mile-high HEELS. Although slightly intimidating, instead of bucking the seemingly sexist trend, I embraced it. Whole heartedly. I wished I had known, planned, and shopped for this thing! I could have coordinated SHOES with my suit?? Not just flipflops as this s.cal girl is so accustomed to?? FUN. Funtimes. FUN. I grabbed whatever I could find in my suitcase and literally MADE the other girls join me in their heels to the pool. Called Sarah Lyman to specifically tell her that if she were to join us for some poolside time, heels were required. Or.else.

Ahahahaha.. I crack myself up.

But, c'mon. If your hotel lobby looked like this, wouldn't you feel compelled don the heels?

tricia said...: i would positively fall down and scrape knees/elbows if i tried to wear killer heels to the pool :) i am such a clutz! kitten heels, perhaps. wedges, definitely. i totally get it though, heels always makes ones legs look longer and more toned/fabulous. i definitely wouldn't be able to sip a cocktail and rock the heels though. much safer in flip flops. so proud of you girls for representin' poolside!; July 17, 2009
